 | Heatwell - Under floor heating specialistsHeatwell Ltd have been installing under tile and carpet heating in the Auckland area for over 30 years. We also install in-concrete heating for the larger slab areas. We carry out all the associated work through to the final connecting of the thermostats after the floor covering are in place. Our under tile and under carpet heating provides an even heat distribution throughout the floor without any cold spots. Installing 150 watts per m² for under tile heating and 75 watts per m² for under carpet heating creates quick even heating across the floor surface with fast warm up times. There is no visible sign of the under floor heating apart from the wall mounted thermostat. The thermostat can also be mounted remotely via the use of floor sensing probes which control floor temperature as opposed to room air temperature. This method of control is a much more economical way to operate the floor heating as probes are not sensitive to stray eddy currents of air. Heatwell has 18 sizes of heating elements available ranging from 150 to 3000 watts to suit any room size. Our cables come as a loose wire on a spoole which has the flexibility to be laid around fixed furniture or appliances such as toilet bowls, vanity units, bookcases or door stops.
